Acciona Trasmediterranea Ferries was formerly the official Spanish state-owned car ferry operator before it was bought out by the very large Acciona group.
Acciona Trasmediterranea Ferries has a fleet of 45 ferries that operate in the following three zones:
The Mediterranean zone
Barcelona/Valencia lines to the Balearic Islands
The Southern Straight zone
Algeciras-Ceuta, Almería/Malaga - Melilla, Malaga-Melilla, Algeciras-Tangiers (Morocco), Almería-Nador (Morocco) and Almería-Ghazaouet (Algeria).
The Canary Island zone
Cadiz-Canary Island line and in Canary inter-island traffic.
