Southern Ferries is the official and exculsive GSA for Algerie Ferries in the UK.
Algerie Ferries was created as part of ENTMV (National Undertaking of Maritime transport Travellers) by decree on 14th July, 1987. On 7th April, 1990, Algerie Ferries became a public economic company and has been transporting passengers to Algeria ever since.
Algerie Ferries has 3 major activities which are: Maritime transport of passengers and vehicles, Freight transport, and associated martime transport activities such as shipping consignments and ticketing sales.
Algerie Ferries operates and owns 3 ferries, with another 2 ferries on order. The company operates a network of agencies for ticketing and support, divided up within the Algerian country, South and North Europe, and also then by ports.
Algerie Ferries employs more than 1450 people: 927 work onboard Algerie Ferries including 212 officers, 236 in the port offices, 363 in agencies in Algeria and 21 in France and Spain. The registered head office of Algerie Ferries is in Algiers, with sub offices in Oran, Annaba and Marseilles.
